An analytical-global approach is developed in order to provide an accurate prediction of the HCF performance of turned parts of the AISI 316L stainless steel using different cutting parameters. This work has the advantage of taking into account the surface conditions induced by machining in the two fatigue criteria of Dang Van and Crossland.
